Green Smoothie Bowl


If you like sweet treats but also like to pack in your veggies, healthy fats, and all the goods, this smoothie bowl is right up your ally -- it tastes like ice cream but packs a punch of nutrients. The best of both worlds! Get creative by finishing it off with your favorite toppings.

Ingredients: 1 frozen banana 2 big heaping handfuls of organic baby spinach (probably about 3 cups) 1 tsp chia seeds 1/4 avocado 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp spirulina 1 heaping TBSP almond butter 1 scoop collagen peptides -- I like to use Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides (optional -- omit to make vegan) 1 tsp coconut manna (optional)

Instructions: Throw all ingredients into a high-speed blender and blend on high until combined. Stop intermittently to scrape down sides of the blender as needed.

Pour into serving bowl and add your favorite toppings. Some of my favorite toppings are fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries), bee pollen (adds an extra does of amino acids), hemp seeds (great source of plant-based protein and fiber), and cacao nibs (great source of antioxidants and dietary fiber).

Makes one individual serving.
